Police seek public's assistance locating missing woman

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 69-year-old woman. 

Joan Henkel, 69, was last seen at approximately 1:45 p.m. this afternoon, Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, in the area of 54 Street and 162 Avenue when she reportedly walked away from her residence. Henkel may have boarded the LRT or a bus heading to the Clareview area.

Henkel is described as a white female who weighs approximately 170 lbs.  She was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans, a reindeer headband with antlers and reading glasses.  A photo of Henkel is included below.

Henkel suffers from a medical condition which may cause confusion. As a result, there are concerns for her well-being. There are no indications to suggest foul play.
