Police seek public’s assistance in locating two female prisoners at large

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two female prisoners who escaped from the Edmonton Institution for Women Monday evening.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, prison officials reported that two of their inmates had jumped the east fence and escaped from the facility, located at 11151 178 St.

 

The prisoners, Kelsie Laine Marie Mast, 23, and Samantha Faye Toope, 20, remain at large as of 1 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

 

West Division patrol members and the EPS Canine Unit responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the two prisoners. Both women are violent offenders with a history of weapons offences and should not be approached.
