More than $15,000 in drugs and cash seized, four charged

The Edmonton Police Service has charged four people in relation to a search warrant that was conducted on a residential suite in northeast Edmonton last week.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, officers from West and Northeast Divisions, with assistance from the EPS Tactical and EDGE Units, executed a search warrant around 3:15 p.m. in the area of 118 Avenue and 46 Street. In total, more than $10,000 worth of drugs and more than $5,000 in cash was seized.

 

The search of the residence yielded drugs, cash, cell phones, ammunition and other drug trafficking paraphernalia including:

  • 15.8 g of heroin with an approximate street value of $6,400.

  • 30 g of methamphetamine with an approximate street value of $3,000.

  • 115 prescription pills, including morphine and dilaudid, with an approximate street value of $1,200

  • $5,710 in Canadian currency.

 

Seven people were arrested in the suite without incident. Three were released and a female and three males were charged:

 

Debbie Brewer, 53: possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3).

 

Louis Zazula, 55: possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3) and proceeds of crime.

 

Amarit Nijjer, 34: possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3) and proceeds of crime.

 

Herbert White, 56: possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3), breach of recognizance (x2) and 12 other outstanding criminal warrants.
