Homicide Section now investigating death of infant in northeast

Homicide Section detectives have formally taken over an investigation into the suspicious death of an infant male child that occurred Sunday morning.

Autopsy results released this afternoon by the Medical Examiner’s Office were unable to confirm the cause of death of a six-month-old infant male child pending further tests.

The infant was found deceased at a residence near 142 Avenue and 77 Street yesterday morning, Sunday, May 28, 2017.

No further information is available at this time.

Background:
Northeast Division patrol members responded to a residential address near 142 Avenue and 77 Street, at approximately 7 a.m., at the request of EMS.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a six-month-old male child was deceased at that address.
