Man in stable condition following shooting

The Edmonton Police Service responded to a weapons complaint last night that sent one man to hospital with gunshot wounds.

A report of shots fired in the area of 112 Avenue and 94 Street was called in to police at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. Officers responded and located a male in the area of 111 Avenue, between 94 and 95 Street. He had sustained gunshot wounds. The man was treated and transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.  

Officers from Northwest Division, Tactical Section and Canine Unit responded to the area to search for suspects. No arrests have been made at this time, and police continue to investigate.
