Assist to locate suspect in connection with downtown shooting

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who was allegedly involved in a shooting that occurred in downtown Edmonton on Sept. 10, 2015.

Sean Robert Martin, 32, is wanted on warrants for possession of a prohibited weapon, aggravated assault, breach of recognizance, and numerous other firearm-related charges.  

Police believe Martin was involved in an incident on Thursday, Sept. 10 in the area of 109 Avenue and 95 Street. It is reported a shot was fired from the interior of a GMC Yukon at approximately 8:40 p.m. The adult male driver of the vehicle was treated and transported to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. This incident is not believed to be random.

Sean Martin is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 220-230 lbs. and 6’1” tall. He may have facial hair and glasses. Martin has a dragon tattoo on his left upper arm and various tattoos on his right arm.

Martin should not be approached. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
