Young woman sexually assaulted in north Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman that occurred yesterday evening in the city’s north end.

On Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2015 at approximately 8:15 p.m. patrol officers from Northwest Division responded to a sexual assault call.


It was reported that the woman was walking in the area of 101 Street and 128 Avenue when a male approached her, produced a weapon, and forced her into a nearby alley where she was then assaulted. The male then fled the area prior to police arrival.


The suspect is described as Aboriginal male, average height, 160 lbs., medium build, with an approximate age of mid-twenties, dressed in dark clothing. Additional descriptors may follow as the Sexual Assault Section continues to conduct their investigation.
