Medical Examiner’s Office confirms death of male in Blue Quill neighbourhood is first homicide of 2015

The Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the death of a 36-year-old male in a southwest Edmonton neighbourhood on Jan. 21, 2015, was a homicide. Homicide detectives continue to investigate the death of Paul Murray Grandbois, but are not releasing the manner in which he died at this time for investigative purposes.

Background:

Southwest Division patrol members responded to a call to assist EMS at approximately 6:40 a.m, Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, in the neighbourhood of Blue Quill, near 25 Avenue and 120 Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of an unidentified deceased male lying on the road.
