A 19-year-old woman is facing charges in connection with the death of a male pedestrian, who was struck and killed on Jan. 27, 2014, while crossing Whyte Avenue.

At the time of the incident, witnesses told police that a Chevy Cobalt was travelling northbound on 101 Street and was making a left-hand turn onto 82 Avenue, when it allegedly struck David Finkelman, 27, who was walking southbound across the avenue through a marked crosswalk.
The male was treated by EMS on scene and transported to hospital where he later died.
Emily Holmes, 19, is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and careless driving.
