Traffic charge laid in October fatal collision

The Major Collision Investigations Section of the Edmonton Police Service has laid a charge in an October traffic collision that led to the death of an 87-year-old female bus passenger. Just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 a Chevrolet Impala collided with an ETS bus at Terrace Road and 57 Street. Neither driver was seriously injured; however an 87-year-old female on the bus fell out of her seat, suffered a medical episode, and died later the same day in hospital.



Yesterday, Wednesday, Nov. 27, the 78-year-old female driver of the Impala was charged with Fail to proceed safely after stopping at an intersection.
