Police identify suspect in poppy fund theft

Southeast Division officers have identified a suspect in an alleged theft of a poppy fund box from a grocery store in Bonnie Doon Mall.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Southeast Division officers are investigating a theft of a poppy fund box from a grocery store in Bonnie Doon and are asking the public for assistance in identifying a male suspect.


On Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 around 2 p.m., a grocery store in the area of 83 Street and 82 Avenue reported their poppy donation box was missing. After reviewing surveillance video, it appears a man allegedly stole the donation container from the customer service till.
